I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease in my lower lumbar area 15 years ago. During that length of time, I have never been pain free. I would wake up in the morning, and it would take about three hours for the pain to stop. Pain has prevented me from sleeping many times. I had not been able to enjoy my sports of gym workouts for many years due to the constant pain.

I have tried many medications, muscle relaxants, Tylenol #3, and anti-inflammatory drugs. I have undergone physiotherapy and I have endured the expense of massage therapy.

A surgeon told me I had two choices, “pain or pain.” A friend asked me if I had been to a chiropractor, and I replied that I had been told that chiropractic wouldn’t work. Now I know that I was misinformed.

Dr. Hardick did a full set of x-rays and found subluxations in my lower spinal area. He set up a schedule of care for me, which I followed. I have been pain free since about the third week of chiropractic care. I am now more flexible; I can do yard work, and I can enjoy my many hobbies, crafts, and sports, including baseball and volleyball. My mobility has improved at least 75%. I can also relax better.

I would encourage others to seek chiropractic care. It’s given me a new lease on life. It has given me hope.
