Chiropractic care - Testimonials

It was the day before Christmas, and I had left work at noon that day. I had taken six Tylenol 3's to alleviate the pain that morning, in addition to my regular arthritis medication. I knew I could no longer continue with this excruciating pain.

That day, my general practitioner added Prednisone to the list of medication I was taking. I was now taking Arthrotec 75, Methotrexate, extra-strength Tylenol, Tylenol 3, Nizatidine to calm my irriated stomach, and now, Prednisone.

And the pain was not decreasing, it was increasing!

The pain had started in autumn, in my lower back, extending down my leg. It gradually increased, and I now found that I could not move, walk, sit or lay down without this unrelenting pain. I was at the end of knowing what to do for relief.

I prayed and asked my church and friends to pray for me.

My friend suggested I try her chiropractor, Dr. Hardick. I did. That was the beginning of my healing. X-rays showed a severe displacement of the 3rd lumbar vertebra and a collapse of the 3rd lumbar disc. There was also severe pressure on the sciatic nerve. This was causing excruciating pain in my lower back and down my left leg.

From the first visit to the chiropractor, I began to feel slowly, progressively better. However, it would be three months before the pain was relieved sufficiently to return to my part-time work. I endured these months by looking forward to the next day when I could get another chiropractic adjustment, and feel a little better, and get another day closer to being pain free. Dr. Hardick’s confidence in my recovery, and his compassion for me and all his other patients, encouraged me.

Now, then months later, with absolutely no pain medication, I visit the chiropractor twice a week, looking forward to a time when I am sufficiently improved to start a wellness schedule of once a week. Chiropractic is rooting out the problem, not covering the symptoms of the problem.

I am thankful to God for leading me to chiropractic to solve my problems. I feel better now than I did before my illness.
