My daughter Katia was 2 months old when we first noticed symptoms of asthma. She had a daily cough and if she did not take medication she would get chest infections, wheeze and cough all night. At 13 months, she started on Salbutomal, while continuing to have coughing episodes and infections. We started to see an asthma specialist when she was between 18-20 months old, and the specialist prescribed a daily preventative medication (Flovent).
Katia did better, with no coughing or infections, but when we tried to take her off the medication she continued to have symptoms so we kept her on Flovent until she was 3 years old.
After hearing Dr. Hardick on the radio, I decided to attend a Maximized Living seminar. I learned how chiropractic care could help with asthma. Katia’s X-rays showed that she had a subluxation between the vertebrae C1 and C2. Katia started seeing Dr. Hardick and getting adjustments and within a few weeks, her asthma improved and she came off her medication. She started to gain weight and grow (she had not been a healthy weight and size for her age). Her new X-rays show much better spacing and alignment in her upper neck.
Prior to getting adjustments with Dr. Hardick, Katia would have coughing episodes while running. Since we have been seeing Dr. Hardick, Katia does not have difficulty when running. When she does get a cold, she is able to cope on her own without using medication. Our active family has also benefited by having regular chiropractic adjustments with improved daily performance; feeling good and sleeping better at night.
